I believe that the Bible is the inspired, preserved, and infallible Word of God, given by divine inspiration and without error in its original manuscripts.
The King James Version is the one I hold to when ministering to English-speaking people.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."
(2 Timothy 3:16-17)
"The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."
(Psalm 12:6-7)
I believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—each co-equal in power and glory.
"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
(1 John 5:7)
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."
(Matthew 28:19)
I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitutionary atonement,
rose bodily from the grave, and is coming again.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us."
(John 1:1, 14)
"Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures."
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
I believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ. It is a free gift of God, not of works, and cannot be lost.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
(Ephesians 2:8-9)
"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."
(John 10:28-29)
I believe that the local New Testament church is a visible, autonomous assembly of baptized believers, practicing the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper,
and fulfilling the Great Commission.
"And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
(Matthew 16:18)
"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another."
(Hebrews 10:25)
I believe that baptism is by immersion after salvation and is an act of obedience, not a requirement for salvation. The Lord’s Supper is a memorial of Christ’s sacrifice.
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."
(Matthew 28:19-20)
"This do in remembrance of me… For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come."
(1 Corinthians 11:24-26)
I believe in the imminent, pre-tribulational rapture of the church, followed by the literal, visible return of Christ to establish His Millennial Kingdom.
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
"Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."
(Revelation 20:6)
I believe that Christians should live a life separated from worldliness, false doctrine, and sinful practices, striving for holiness.
"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord."
(2 Corinthians 6:17)
"But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy."
(1 Peter 1:15-16)
I believe in a literal heaven for the saved and a literal hell for the lost. Those who reject Christ will suffer eternal separation from God, while believers will enjoy eternal life
in His presence.
"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
(Revelation 20:15)
"In my Father’s house are many mansions… I go to prepare a place for you."
(John 14:2-3)
I believe in the responsibility of every believer to share the Gospel and make disciples of all nations.
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations… Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you."
(Matthew 28:19-20)
"Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."
(Mark 16:15)
