Growing up in a missionary family, it was easy to see myself as good enough for heaven. I had been surrounded by Christians my entire life, but one day, while listening to a lesson about Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, I realized that my parents’ faith wasn’t enough—I needed to personally accept Christ as my Savior. Kneeling before my window that overlooked our city, I prayed and asked the Lord to save me.
As I entered my teenage years, I maintained the appearance of a good Christian kid, but deep down, I knew I wasn’t truly walking with the Lord. It wasn’t until I was sixteen, at a service at Camp Maranatha in Brazil, that a message finally broke through my rebellious spirit. That night, I surrendered my life to the Lord and committed to following His will.
A few years later, I felt the Lord calling me to full-time Christian service. It wasn’t part of my plan—I had mapped out my future, and being a missionary wasn’t on the list. But God made His will unmistakably clear, and I chose to obey. Since then, my constant prayer has been, "Lord, I may not be able to go everywhere, but I will go anywhere."
By His grace, God has led me back to my homeland of Brazil, where I now have the privilege of sharing His Word with my people, and bringing them to Christ.
